Welcome to the online home of Maxwelltown West and New Abbey Church!
As part of the Church of Scotland we serve the people in the Maxwelltown area of Dumfries and in the village of New Abbey.
At the heart of our church life is Sunday worship, which starts at 9.30am in our New Abbey Church and at 11am in our Maxwelltown West Church. These services are open to everyone. We have facilities for the disabled in both churches including level access from Rosemount Street for Maxwelltown West, and an induction loop for the hard of hearing. The services follow a traditional Presbyterian format.
It is our goal to serve Jesus in proclaiming the coming of his kingdom among us. As Jesus established family as a spiritual reality, so we understand ourselves as members of a church family who are here to help and to serve and to welcome everyone new! Do come and join us!
